John is Custom Software Systems’ chief technical resource for predictive analytics and business intelligence solutions, including data architecture and implementation of end-user products to display complex data into simplified, actionable information. John has more than 25 years of experience in this field, designing data warehouses and data marts in a way that greatly accelerates the pace of development for the customer-facing dashboards provided to end-users. John enjoys and is very good at working with end users/clients to help them better understand the data, assess data critically, ask the right questions, and identify patterns and trends within the data. He works effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, end users and executive stakeholders.
The ability to understand and to act on information hidden in corporate data streams is key to organizational survival, and the need to move data, at scale, into position for success is mission-critical. John has served as lead architect on seven programs; on each he has moved heterogenous data from disparate data sources into a unified data mart that provides key performance metrics in a straightforward format. John’s approach is to get as much of the heavy lifting done early in the business stream so that dashboards and other products can be developed and modified quickly when new requirements for information emerge. He has a strong understanding of data privacy laws and ethical standards in data handling and analysis. John is not just a technical expert but a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between data and decision-making, driving business success through informed insights.
John has Mathematics degrees from Penn State and Johns Hopkins Universities.
